Looking for a way to experience self-care at its finest? You’re in luck, as a new beauty salon has now made its mark in Pico Rivera. The salon “Jan Beauty” had its grand opening on October 4, 2025, and has since then been a popular destination for those who enjoy beauty services.
With the hardworking team at Jan Beauty, the services they offer include makeup, eyelash extensions, eyebrow laminations, facials, body waxing, detox massages, and more. The salon started with the two sisters, Rachel Vazquez and Neily Cervantes, as they made it their goal to open up their very own salon to share their expertise in cosmetology and make others feel beautiful.
Almost over eight years ago, Rachel Vazquez started as a makeup artist and eventually began her eyelash extension services. Shortly after, she obtained her esthetician license with Neily Cervantes to further their work in beauty treatments.
Rachel Vazuqez made it her goal to work hard and push herself to make all of her dreams become a reality. She first started doing free-lance makeup and as she learned more she was able to gain new experiences to further her knowledge of cosmotology.
She currently specializes in makeup, facials, and Brazilian waxes; and when asked what her favorite part was when she first became a makeup artist and working in the beauty industry, she said: “Just their face when I finished doing the work, how happy they would get, that was my favorite part. I love when I have the opportunity to make women feel beautiful; it’s always really rewarding.” Said Rachel Vazquez.
Five years ago, Neily Cervantes began her work in the beauty industry as well. In 2021, she became an eyelash technician, unsure of where the road would take her. Since then, she has loved every part of the journey and has seen her growth and progress throughout the years. Currently, she specializes in eyebrow shaping, eyebrow laminations, and eyelash extensions.
When asked what her favorite part of working in the beauty industry was, she says, “Being able to make my clients feel beautiful and confident in their own skin, seeing them leave with a smile and feeling amazing is the best part of what I do.” Said by Neily Cervantes.
When the salon was first under construction and renovation, the Vazuqez family prioritized making it a beautiful destination for new clients. Jan Beauty is a family-oriented salon, and a direct result of hard work and dedication to making dreams possible.
The other workers featured at Jan Beauty are Yuri Porras, who specializes in body sculpting and facials, Diorella Gonzalez, whose specialties include permanent makeup such as microblading and lip tints, and Ana Guadarrama, who specializes in stretchmark and scar removal.
The salon itself is calming and extremely welcoming, thanks to its highly trained staff. Jan Beauty offers a relaxing atmosphere, featuring neutral colors in its palette and oftentimes is playing quiet, calm music to enhance the relaxation and comfort of the beauty services you may enjoy while spending your time here.
