Free nights at the RHC observatory announced

The Rio Hondo Astrophysical Observatory has announced its free public night program for Spring 2016.

689 feet above sea-level, the observatory is home to a 16-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope; one of the largest telescopes in all of Southern California.

The observatory will be open to the public free of charge on the following nights:

Fridays, beginning at 7 p.m.

March 4

March 11

Fridays, beginning at 8 p.m.

April 8

April 15

April 29

May 6
