I am pursuing a journalism major and hoping to become a music journalist in the future. I am hoping to transfer to either Cal State Fullerton or University of Washington. My favorite hobbies are listening to music, watching tv shows or movies, and spending hours on end researching about my favorite artists / bands. Doing research on the music I like is one of the main reasons I wanted to become a music journalist, I also enjoy watching other journalists such as Nardwuar or Anthony Fantano do interviews with artists hoping that I can do that in the future. Like I said, I really enjoy listening to music whenever I can (I cannot sleep without music playing!) and a fun fact about me is that for the past three years, I’ve gotten 200k-250k minutes listened on my Spotify Wrapped! As for favorite pieces of media, my favorite movies of all time are Donnie Darko and We’re All Going to the World’s Fair. My favorite bands / artists are Car Seat Headrest, Neutral Milk Hotel, Radiohead, The Strokes, Alex G, and King Krule.
