23XI racing and Tyler Reddick are dominating at NASCARs highest level. Today Reddick won his fifth race of the season in nine races in the teams #45 car, doing so in an incredibly dramatic fashion.
The AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway saw no natural cautions the whole race, with the lead changing throughout the day between Reddick, Denny Hamlin’s Joe Gibbs Racing #11, and Kyle Larson’s Hendrick Motorsports #5. Though the field was not bunched up, the racing remained tight with Reddick chasing down Hamlin in the closing laps.
After passing him, Reddick was unable to pull away and suddenly bobbled with a possible fueling mishap which allowed Hamlin to repass with only two laps to go. Then suddenly, after a day with zero cautions outside of the scheduled stage breaks, the leaders found themselves facing a spinning Cody Ware only seconds before taking the white flag which would have essentially ended the race.
The entire field pitted during the only caution for the ensuing green-white-checkered finish, and in the aftermath of a chaotic two lap shootout Reddick saw himself clear the battle and win.
